SaaS launch checklist

Work through infrastructure, billing, onboarding/cancellation flows, legal, and security tasks before your SaaS goes live. Each task has an optional note field for an owner, due date, or link — check items off as you complete them, then export the whole checklist (with your notes) to a branded PDF or a CSV for your team.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to complete every item before launching?

No — treat this as a starting point, not a hard gate. Early-stage SaaS products often launch with a subset of these done (for example, MFA on admin accounts and backups are non-negotiable, while a full DPA can wait until your first enterprise prospect asks for one). Use the note field to flag items you're deliberately deferring and why, so the decision is visible to your team later.

Why does this checklist include billing, product, and legal, not just engineering?

Most launch checklists online focus only on infrastructure, but the items that actually block a SaaS launch or cause post-launch scrambles are just as often billing misconfiguration (tax not collected, webhooks silently failing, no dunning flow for failed payments), an untested cancellation flow, missing trial expiry emails, or missing legal pages (no ToS/privacy policy blocks App Store and payment provider approval). This checklist spans infrastructure, billing, product lifecycle, legal, security, and support so nothing falls through the cracks between teams.

What gets included when I export to PDF or CSV?

Both exports capture the current state of every item exactly as shown on the page — which boxes are checked and whatever you've typed into each note field. The PDF additionally includes a fixed VentriTools header and footer (title, generation date, source URL, and page numbers) so it's easy to file or share as a point-in-time record.
